Interviewers Use Resumes For Screening

The purpose of a resume is to generate enough interest in your qualifications, skills and experience that the prospective employer will call you in for an interview.
In reality; however, many recruiters and employers receive such an overwhelming number of resumes in response to job postings that they actually use resumes to screen out applicants rather than to screen them in for interviews.
Remember to this into account when writing your resume, to avoid being rejected at the first hurdle.
