Sample Banking
Cover Letter
The banking industry tends to rely heavily on a combination of
education and experience. Therefore, this should be played up when
writing a cover letter to apply for a position in the banking industry,
particularly those positions which are advanced in nature. The
following banking cover letter example highlights this.
It is also important to make sure you let the employer know how you
have learned of the position. In the case of the cover letter template
below the
candidate mentions that he learned of the
position by reading the classified advertisement in the newspaper.
The sample banking cover letter below also clearly details how
experience and education can be positively highlighted in the cover
letter in order to demonstrate that the applicant is the ideal
candidate for the position. The applicant also refers back to his
resume in order to draw the reader’s attention to the
information contained in the resume.

Enclosure: Resume
|
The final paragraph of the cover letter is particularly important. This
paragraph sums of the applicant’s interest in the position.
In the above sample banking cover letter the applicant mentions his
awareness of the
bank’s reputation and
indicates he has been waiting for just such an opportunity to apply.
The applicant also lets the employer know that he is definitely
interested in the position and hopes to hear from the bank regarding an
interview soon.
Finally, don’t forget to mark the end of the cover letter
with an enclosure statement regarding the resume to make sure the
employer knows to look for it.
The similar
cashiers
cover letter might be worth looking at for a slightly
different approach.
